The Eastern Province Amana, located in Dammam, is responsible for the urban development of the Eastern Province and coordinating with governmental entities to prepare structural plans for cities, provinces, and centers in the province. Its responsibilities also include providing municipal services.

The Eastern Province Amana carries out several tasks within its jurisdiction and has received several local and international awards. One of these achievements was the Silver Star Excellence Award in Project Management from the Project Management Institute (PMI) branch in the Kingdom, recognizing their efforts in the development project of al-Awamiyah in Al-Qatif Governorate. In March 2022, the Eastern Province Amana was awarded by the Middle East Institute for Government Excellence and Smart Cities in the category of Excellence in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
