Nadja El Fertasi is an internationally recognized thought leader in emotional intelligence, resilience, and human-centered cybersecurity. With nearly two decades of experience at NATO, she played a pivotal role in advancing digital transformation and crisis management, with a focus on the human dimension of these challenges.

As a former senior leader at the NATO Communications and Information Agency, Nadja’s expertise lies in translating complex cybersecurity landscapes into actionable, people-focused strategies. She is the creator of the “Emotional Firewalls” framework, which integrates emotional intelligence with cybersecurity readiness to safeguard individuals and organizations in the digital age.

Her work has been featured in *Hacking Gender Barriers: Europe’s Top Cyber Women* by Women4Cyber, and she has delivered keynotes at international forums, including the 2024 UPU World Leaders Forum, where she advocated for a human-centered approach to digital resilience.

An alumna of the German Marshall Fund’s Marshall Memorial Fellowship and a graduate of the University of Cambridge, Nadja draws on her experience working with stakeholders from over 40 nations to build trust and foster cross-cultural understanding.
