Raphael Albergarias is a visionary leader, mentor, and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in strategy, project management, and executive education. His expertise spans corporate consulting, academia, and public service, including his tenure as Subsecretary of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2016-2017), where he led governance initiatives for a $22 billion portfolio, ERP deployments, and public policy development.
As a founding partner of IDGP, the only IPMA-accredited consulting and training institution in Brazil, Raphael has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of project leaders. He is also President of the International Institute of Education, where he oversees doctoral and professional master’s programs at the University of Bordeaux, Sorbonne, and University of Paris, driving the internationalization of higher education.
A sought-after speaker and mentor, Raphael has lectured in over 30 countries, teaching at top institutions such as Sorbonne, Paris Dauphine, UCI, Nyenrode, FGV, PUC Rio, COPPEAD, and many more. His passion for leadership extends beyond academia—he actively mentors executives, entrepreneurs, and project leaders, helping them navigate complex business landscapes and achieve strategic excellence.
Beyond business and education, Raphael is a champion for social impact. He is actively involved in TEAM Therapies, an initiative dedicated to supporting children and teenagers with autism through innovative therapeutic approaches.
A recognized authority in project management, Raphael has been at the forefront of IPMA Brazil since 2010 and has assessed global project leaders as an IPMA Certification Assessor. He has held key leadership positions within IPMA LATNET and led SIG/IPMA Healthcare (2019-2024), advancing healthcare project management worldwide.
Raphael holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Cognitive Psychology (Paris 8), and has completed executive programs at Stanford and Cambridge. He is also the first Brazilian to earn the elite combination of IPMA-A, PMI-PMP, PMI-SP, and Professional Coach certifications, solidifying his reputation as a global expert in leadership and project management.
