Since assuming the role as Group CEO in 2020, Hamzeh Awwad has spearheaded a bold transformation at AJi Group, positioning the group at the frontline of architectural and engineering excellence across the MENA region. With over 25 years of industry experience, Hamzeh has been instrumental in expanding AJi’s regional footprint, earning the group widespread recognition in the architecture, engineering, and consulting arena.
Armed with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and an MBA, Hamzeh’s leadership is built on a strong technical foundation, complemented by strategic business acumen. His expertise spans construction management, engineering, and contract management, allowing him to oversee some of the most ambitious and high-profile projects in the region.
Beyond his executive role, Hamzeh is a prominent thought leader, actively contributing to the engineering discourse as a member of national engineering councils across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Jordan. He also serves on the boards of AJi, HDP, AEBC, Applied University, and Al Moasoroun for Housing Projects.

Presentation- TECHNICAL TRACK: Managing Projects Towards Excellence: AJi Group’s Experience
AJi's successful experience in establishing Project Management Offices (PMO) will be showcased through two major projects: the first with Riyadh Municipality , where AJi has been able to achieve the objecives and aspirations of the Municipality, especially in qualifying human cadres within project management teams, and the second is Tabuk University project, where this project distinguished itself in digital transformation, in which AJi was able to achieve the university’s strategic goals.
